Jessica N. Keator

Jessica founded Intimate Boudoir, Reno in 2023 after previously shooting weddings and family photos for 8 years. She discovered a passion for photographing women and couples that empower and displaying confidence.

Fun Facts about Jessica:
● She loves to travel with her family, go on adventures around the world!
● She can laugh for hours at silly jokes and memes.
● She is a huge advocate for sauna wellness along with hot/cold therapy.
● She loves singing and dancing along with producing music on her guitar.
● She loves making women feel their best and exploring their unique beauty.

In the heart of a cozy, sunlit studio, where delicate lace curtains flutter in the gentle breeze, a photographer named Jessica found her true calling in the art of boudoir photography. For her, it wasn’t merely about capturing an image but about preserving a fleeting, intimate moment that spoke to the very essence of beauty and self-love. Each session was a dance of light and shadow, where her lens became a mirror reflecting the inner radiance of her subjects. Jessica believed that every person had a story, a unique allure waiting to be unveiled, and through her artistry, she sought to capture these stories with elegance and grace. The click of her camera was not just a mechanical sound but a symphony of celebration, honoring the beauty that existed in every curve, every smile, and every glance.

Jessica’s passion for boudoir photography stemmed from a deep desire to empower and uplift. She knew that in a world often obsessed with superficial perfection, her craft could offer a sanctuary of authenticity and confidence. Her clients, initially shy and hesitant, would soon blossom under her gentle guidance, discovering facets of themselves they had long forgotten or never known. The resulting photographs were more than just images; they were treasures, tangible reminders of strength, beauty, and vulnerability. Jessica cherished the trust placed in her hands, viewing each session as a precious opportunity to freeze a moment in time, capturing the essence of her clients’ true selves. In doing so, she created not only stunning visual art but also lasting memories that her clients could hold close to their hearts forever.

Why Intimate Boudoir of Reno

for all your Boudoir Photography Desires

Pre-Shoot Consultation

If you’ve never done a boudoir photo shoot before, it can be a little bit intimidating. A boudoir shoot can be such a fun, empowering, transformative experience. But it’s also intimate, requiring a lot of vulnerability and trust (both in yourself and in me, your photographer).

All of that might feel a bit intense or scary, especially if it’s your first time. That’s why I always have a pre-shoot consultation with my clients in the lead-up to their shoot.

Event planning

Event planning is when we go over the questionnaire that I send to each new client after she books a shoot with me. It contains all sorts of fun questions like hair & makeup preferences (we have in-studio makeup artists and hair stylists), and what they’d like to listen to (music has such incredible power over our energies and moods, that it’s important to me to create a personalized playlist for everyone).

Questions for New Clients

But my very favorite question to ask my clients during their pre-shoot consultation is:

What are your favorite features about yourself and your body?

Maybe that doesn’t seem like such a staggering question, but I find that it always catches people pleasantly off guard. It gets them thinking about themselves in a different way, prompting this lovely little moment of positive self-reflection. I love seeing it.

Plus, it’s really important information for me to know!

Photography

Because posing for boudoir photos can be intimidating, today I’m going to share my 2 poses for boudoir photos that are easy and flattering. These boudoir poses will work for all body types, and all lingerie or nude photographs.

Pose #1: The fake pillow fight – this one is easy because everyone has had a pillow fight at some point in their life. It doesn’t require
thinking of all your best angles, your hair doesn’t have to be perfect, and it typically gets a genuine smile.

Boudoir Pose #2: On Elbows and Stomach. This one my go-to pose for the start of a session. While other photographers start upright, I found those most people prefer this pose for a flattering, more comfortable start.

Video shooting

I love photographing anything that helps females feel empowered. That could be portraits of her in a floral dress out in a flower field to dark and moody boudoir, new studio head-shots during a good hair day, or a light and airy boudoir photo shoot when she is feeling confident and sexy.

Capturing the preparation to getting into poses, the video process is a wonderful and creative way to capture your fondest most sexy memories.
